Text1="Hello and welcome to the first instalment of Places in the SUN. I am your host Amata Forrester-Miller and I have brought you to the beautiful hood of Apple Valley.
Apple Valley has a very interesting background and was originally established as a new dimensional hood by the residents of Greymount. It was named Apple Valley due to the copious amounts of apple trees, now which are mostly gone, and the fact that it is nestled in a fertile valley bordered by a river and large rolling hills. The first three family’s to move to the hood were the Underwoods, Dawsons and Sweeny’s and once proved that life in the new dimension was safe, other Greymont residents moved to the hood. Apple Valley is minutes away from downtown, trendy up and coming Muscon Desert and a short ferry ride from Bottom Beach where the famous Pahala Shore is filmed. The hood is very small, less than twenty families call this place home, but the community is very rich in terms of hospitality. Local celebrities are few: Starr Grey and Alia Kent live in Apple Valley proper while Tatiana Garris, Fiorenza Petrignani, Shawn Marsh and Lake Forrester-Miller make downtown their home.";

Text2="Whilst only a small Hood there is plenty to do for tourists and visitors to the hood. Why know take a stroll to the locally owned CupaJava. Elders of the hood are noted for visiting this downtown location, and rumours are rife about the numerous porphyria infections caught here. Josie Harlow was even bitten by an infected individual while enjoying a cup of cinnamon bun espresso. Locals suspect that the soil underneath the building is tainted in some way to cause those suffering from porphyria to seek out this location. Currently there are investigations on this strange site for infections.";

Text3="If however your not feeling up for the rigours and scares that CupaJava may offer why not take a short walk past the Grey Residence, home to the legendary Starr Grey, an actress with fame from the old dimension and some work in the new dimension. She lives here with her husband and one of four children and three grandchildren. Residents can be found passing by the house at all hours of the day to catch a glimpse of the legend, though they simply need to knock to be invited in for tea and scones….perhaps even you could be this lucky!";

Text4="The site of this year's Food Expo, Farmer's Market is where the locals can find fresh veggies and a very knowledgable owner, Leroy Mendanhall. After browsing through stacks and stacks of the freshest vegetables and fruits, head inside and enjoy a cup of coffee and limited free slices of cake. Also, residents can enjoy large deli sandwiches, crisp salads and generous slices (and whole cakes if you dare) of thier famous vanilla-lemon layer cake. The market is constantly evolving and expanding which makes residents visit several times a day.";

Text5="Another attractive location is Celebration Park which was created to celebrate Apple Valley's existance. Boasting of a large crystal clear lake, outdoor espresso cart, beautiful landscaping, chess tables, comfortable benchs, outdoor grills, performance arena and a children's play-area, the park is one of the residents' favorite places to spend Sunday afternoons with the family. The Hood Council is constantly looking for ways to update the park and draw even more visitors. You can bring the family here for a fun day out, take the kids to the local store The Toy Shoppe, and perhaps would like to hang out by the cemetery….a location very popular with the hood teen’s.";

Text6="I talk to local resident Alia Kent about the future of Apple Valley:
\"Apple Valley's future seems more like a return to the past and its roots. The Historical Society is tracing families that have left the hood and offering them the opportunity to return with discounted housing prices. Several families have expressed interest in living in authentic historical Greymont homes, so plans are underway for those families to live in an exact reproduction of their ancestor's home. The Hood Council's current motto is \"quality not quantity\" and as a result the council is focusing on rebuilding and renovating existing community lots while demolishing lower quality, less used lots.\"
Apple Valley is a wonderful thriving community with a lot of community spirit. There are things for all the family and whilst tourism isn’t particularly high on the list of priorities here, the standard of living for residents is and I can fully understand why sims love it so much... and of course I am a little biast as I too am from Apple Valley!";
